Family College
Family College is the signature family empowerment program of the World Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (WAIE)’s partnership with local communities. The program educates families on their rights, roles, and responsibilities through asynchronous (self-paced) digital courses and live workshops. The program is open to both families of our young scholars and non-member families who wish to participate in order to support their child’s growth.

The program educates families on their rights, roles, and responsibilities through digital courses and live workshops/panels designed to help them become engaged and informed advocates for their child’s education.
Who can attend?
Family College is open to both families of our young scholars and non-member families who wish to participate in order to support their child’s growth. Families of our young scholars are able to participate free of charge. However, non-member families may attend for a nominal fee for participation.
What are the courses like?
Digital courses and workshop are led by educators, administrators, and community leaders. They focus on accelerating student achievement, decreasing high school dropout rates, and increasing graduation rates. Sessions cover topics such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship, mental health, parent advocacy, preparing for college, restorative parenting practices, and more. Digital courses are completed at your own pace while workshops are held in person and live throughout the year.
